Humberto Cavazos found that Tony Bradley and Leonid Tiukhtyaev have broken duration and distance records that have stood for decades using their helium-filled balloon.
Two record-breaking balloonists are expected to touch down in Mexico on Saturday after flying non-stop across the Pacific Ocean, travelling further and longer than anyone using a gas balloon in history. Tony Bradley, 50, who is American and Leonid Tiukhtyaev, 58, from Russia, broke distance and duration records that have stood since the 1970s and 1980s aboard their helium-filled balloon named Two Eagles. They are due to reach Mexico's Baja California peninsula at about 8am local time.
